Eclipse Phase 2e Kickstarter! Posted Sat, 04/29/2017 - 11:07

Exciting news for the EP community — the long discussed second edition rule book is in production, and the kickstarter to push it over the finish line is now live!

EP2 promises a pile of updates and tweaks to simplify some of EP's tangliest mechanics, and we'll be working to update Eldrich Host to keep pace with the changes. Our current plan is to keep the EP1 rules active as 1ed.eldrich.host when the new version is ready, so you'll still have complete tools for both editions (as well as all your campaign and homebrew resources) available.

Most pirates attack automated cargo ships and longrange supply convoys, with the occasional raid on an asteroid mining station, research outpost, or brinker habitat. On rare occasions they have been known to attack commercial cruisers to rob the wealthy or kidnap socialites. Many pirates take advantage of scum eets as cover, trading with them and using their limited maintenance capabilities. Quite a few also make sideline pro ts as smugglers and/or free traders, often utilizing connections to one of the crime syndicates or political outcasts.

At a 764-kilometer diameter, Rhea is Saturn’s second largest moon. Composed almost entirely of ice, Rhea’s surface is sparsely inhabited, but a population of over 800,000 dwells in Kronos Cluster, a major habitat in orbit. Kronos Cluster’s mass-microfactured violet spherical modules make it look like an immense, irregular bunch of grapes suspended in space, an impression added to by the winding space dock (nicknamed the Vine) extending from the wider end.

The vittrad strain functions like the haunting virus (p. 366, EP), except that the altered perception of the victim acutely emphasizes weaknesses, exploitable aws, cracks, damaged areas, poor craftsmanship, and similar imperfections in both biological and nonliving things. Upon reaching stage 2 of infection, the infected character acquires the Spot Flaw sleight (p. 180, XR). Additionally, the victim will nd themself compelled to use these aws to damage and destroy— particularly when it comes to other life forms. They acquire the Modified Behavior (Compelled: Kill/ Destroy) trait.
