Most "Neo-Kitten" morphs on the market are simply smart cats upmodded with cyberbrains or puppet socks. The real thing is exceedingly rare: only a few hundred felines were ever uplifted, and no publicly-known research projects have resumed the practice since the fall. The surviving uplifts are often hard to spot, but most are members of the Cornish Rex or Devon Rex breeds, with polydactyl digits to allow the use of small tools.
