Early Beta Posted Mon, 02/27/2017 - 08:26

Over the weekend, we went through our first real test: players in the Whiskey Station went through the ritual Spending Of The Rez Points for a six month long campaign arc, and did their bookkeeping and research with Eldrich Host during the session. Some bugs were found and feature requests were logged, but it proved pretty useful.

To celebrate, we're calling today the official beta release of the site! Although new account creation is invite-only right now, please ping us at http://twitter.com/eldrichhost if you're interested in kicking the tires with PC and NPC creation, building a full campaign, or porting homebrew materials you've created to the site. We'll get you hooked up with an account and see how you like it!

A prominent topic among conspiracy theorists is the existence of a group of seed AIs calling themselves Prometheans. Rumors of these entities predated the Fall and occasionally are up as some new evidence comes to light, though such evidence is almost always discredited soon after. According to some theories, the Prometheans predated the TITANs and may even have been responsible for bringing the TITANs into existence. Others postulate that the Prometheans were a TITAN splinter faction that broke off and attempted to counteract the TITANs activities during the Fall.

Location Type

Beneath Io’s tenuous, patchy atmosphere of volcanic gases and neutral atomic dust lies a barren, grayish yellow, rocky surface coated with a thin frost of sulfur dioxide. Tidal heating caused by gravitational interaction with Jupiter makes Io the most volcanically active body in the system—so active that the meteor cratering found on every other planet and moon is completely absent on Io. Massive volcanic calderas, lakes of molten rock, and geysers of sulfur dot the surface, with eruptions and accompanying seismic activity lasting months or years.

The vittrad strain functions like the haunting virus (p. 366, EP), except that the altered perception of the victim acutely emphasizes weaknesses, exploitable aws, cracks, damaged areas, poor craftsmanship, and similar imperfections in both biological and nonliving things. Upon reaching stage 2 of infection, the infected character acquires the Spot Flaw sleight (p. 180, XR). Additionally, the victim will nd themself compelled to use these aws to damage and destroy— particularly when it comes to other life forms. They acquire the Modified Behavior (Compelled: Kill/ Destroy) trait.
